Dr. (Prof.) Tarun Kumar
Dr. (Prof.) Tarun Kumar is an interventional cardiologist with more than fifteen years in cardiology, practicing under the Cardio Care banner at the Medanta-Moolchand Heart Centre in Defence Colony, South Delhi, where he serves as Associate Director, Interventional Cardiology. His clinical focus is coronary intervention, structural heart disease — particularly TAVR/TAVI — and advanced cardiovascular imaging.
He has been cited as cardiologist to the Supreme Court of India.

The Journey
His training runs through four demanding institutions: MBBS at Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi; MD (Medicine) at PGI Chandigarh; DM (Cardiology) at the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences & Research, Bangalore; and further training at the Mayo Clinic, USA.
Before his current role he served as Professor of Cardiology at ABVIMS & Dr. RML Hospital, Delhi — teaching the next generation of cardiologists while running a high-volume interventional practice — and as Associate Consultant at Medanta, The Medicity. In 2025 he joined the newly launched Medanta-Moolchand Heart Centre, bringing structural heart procedures to its cath lab from day one.
