Diagnostics — ECG, 2D Echo, TMT, Holter Monitoring

The standard cardiac tests — ECG, echocardiography, treadmill test and 24-hour Holter — arranged and personally interpreted in one place.

What each test does

ECG records the heart's electrical activity in under a minute — the first test for chest pain, palpitations, or a routine checkup. 2D echocardiography is an ultrasound of the heart showing pumping strength and valve function. A TMT (treadmill test) records the ECG during graded exercise to look for blockages that only show under load. A Holter monitor is a small recorder worn for 24–48 hours to catch rhythm problems that come and go.

When they're needed

Which test — if any — depends on your symptoms and risk profile; that judgement is what the consultation is for. Interpretation matters as much as the recording: Dr. Kumar's specialization in advanced cardiovascular imaging means your echo and stress results are read by the same cardiologist who plans your treatment.

How to prepare

ECG and echo need no preparation. For a TMT, wear comfortable shoes and avoid a heavy meal beforehand; your doctor will advise about pausing certain medicines. For a Holter, you simply wear the recorder through a normal day — normal activity is exactly what we want to record.
